Hi
I have read through the guidelines for the new forms a couple of times... it seems unclear as to whether there are new forms for Spouse Visa applications. Several times on family forms (versions O & F) it says specifically NOT to use them for Spouse visas... but didn't find any that said they WERE for use for Spouse visas.... any advice?

Use Form FLR(M) to apply for an extension of stay in the United Kingdom as the spouse (husband or wife) or unmarried partner of a person present and settled here. If you going to post or make your application in person before 22 June 2006, you must use the existing version of this form (version 09/2005). If you are going to apply on or after 22 June 2006, you must use the new version of the form (version 06/2006).

Just to make it clear, there are new forms only for in-UK applications. The forms to use abroad are unchanged at this moment in time.

That's why I was confised... I wasn't aware that if were in the UK you could apply to stay in the UK as a spouse....

Do I take it tourists on up to 6 months visa still can't marry and adjst status to spouse, even with this new legislation...?

There is indeed no new legislation at this time, merely new in-UK applications forms.

So no, visitors to the UK can still not marry in the UK.
