Tier 1 general to Tier 1(G) dependent

Post by RaviSS » Wed Mar 16, 2011 9:24 am

Hi
I am new to this forum I have couple of queries which our experienced members might be able to answer me.

Me and my wife are in UK in tier 1 general visa ( two separate tier 1(G) visa's) my child is in my wife dependent visa
My wife tier 1 visa extension is due on June 2011 and Mine is on July 2011
I wont be qualified for the extension based on my earnings as (by July i will be only 6 months work in one year)
My wife will be qualified for her extension in June 2011
My question is
1. Can I apply as her dependent during her extension in June 2011? is that possible since I am already in the country in tier 1 (G) visa?
2. If I become Tier 1(G) dependent can i still do the job or does it affect my working status?
3 does this create issues for ILR application inn future?

I really appreciated answers for the above questions from our knowledgeable members

1. No. Requires entry clearance from outside the UK.
2. No effect, unless your employer has an issue.
3. As a dependant, your eligibility to settlement will depend on that of the main migrant.
