Change of circumestances

Post by Diddlydo » Wed Mar 16, 2011 4:41 pm

Hi All,

I am due to change jobs after applying, should I fill the change of circumstances form and/or send additional documents to the Home Office?

Thank you in anticipation

There is a possibility of payment decline or some error. UKBA will send the application back to you if they can't take payment.
You can reapply with updated documents if that happen.

You could ring Charging team to check if payment was successful.

Spoke to my bank and they confirm they did not permit payment. I still have not heard from UKBA though...should I write to them explaining and quoting my reference number?

You can't do anything now! just wait till your application arrives.

My visa has now expired and I would become an overstayer.

no worries. Send the same application with updated documents like bank statements and add a cover letter explaining why it is out of time.
UKBA seems considering those applications now a days (heard about a recent caselaw regarding similar issue).
even if they reject it for this reason, you can always appeal against it.

Successful Appeal

I was refused the Tier 1 (General) Visa on the reason of having an accountant sign my self-employment earnings claim who wasn't recognised by the UKBA because his subscription with ACCA had expired. I did not know this and the accountant did not tell me. I was devastated because my start date for the new job has had to be moved three times already. In essence all earnings from self employment were discounted. At the tribunal, the judge apologised because according to him, the UKBA should have used their discretion since my P45 showed my salaried earnings and I had a letter from the foreign Bank supporting the original bank statements and contract documents showing qualifying earnings.

Still waiting for my account to be deducted with the visa fee!
