if you don't have a result in hand before expiry of current visa.... than you must leave n apply from home...

do not apply without receiving your result beforehand. you will surely get denied, and it will be a correct refusal.

Thanks a lot for your prompt message.

Can I ask UKBA to extend my visa 2 more months(without any paperworks).. because it was their fault that they only gave me visa for 14 months...*instead of 16... Has anyone got that kind of issue before??

they only give 4 months if your course is at least 12 months long (not a day less). What was the start and end date on your CAS/Visa letter.

HI Greenie,

My CAS letter says

Programme Commencement Date 06.04.2010
Programme End Date (date of last examination or submission of dissertation)
06.04.2011

I am so confused now.
Btw, I already contacted UKBA helpline for advise, they said it should be fine for them to extend for 2 more months... for that, I should contact the person who issued my visa (which is Solihull UKBA), I sent them a letter, but no response yet. :(

Anyone had that kind of experience-ah?

I had a similar experience. Mine was short by 2 months as well; they gave me only 2 months instead of 4. And yes, I did extend my visa here in the UK. I contacted the university's student international office for help; they helped me with the application for extension. I just had to give all the documents they need. May be you should try contacting your international office and see if they can help you extend it.
