Question about overseas income

Post by frankleigh » Tue Mar 15, 2011 5:26 pm

Hello -

I am preparing to apply for my Tier 1 (General) visa in the UK.

A quick question about overseas income and what country it is applicable to.

I was contracted to do some work by a company in Thailand. During this period, I was also travelling - as the nature of my work means it can be conducted remotely (building websites). I was thus, for some parts of my contract, in Singapore primarily to spend some time with my relatives, but at the same time doing work for my Thai company. There are different multipliers in effect for the 2 countries - and although I gravitate to use Thailand's (which is higher), the guidance document seem to take in to consideration the physical location where work is carried out, without regard to where the outcome of the work was for...

Would using Thailand's multiplier be appropriate?
