ILR Dependant issue?

Hi All,

My wife got ILR in july2010 after completing 5 years on WP. I am on HSMP visa got renewed on aug 2010 for another 2years and i am eligible for ILR on aug 2012.

The issue is: I am not eligible for ILR to apply as dependant on my wife, as i spoke to homeoffice, they said yes you are on different visa and you can't swich over to dependant visa (ILR) if you apply in UK. If i really want to be dependant on her to get ILR(Dependant visa) i have to go back to my home country to apply for ILR dependant visa.

Is there any way i can aplly in country application to get ILR depndant visa. we both are living together since from 4 years in UK but on different visas.

Could anyone suggest how can i get the ILR dependant visa rather than staying 1.5 years to get ILR on m won Tire 1 general.
