Bank Seal as Photocopy

I just reached UK in March and I am from India.
I have the other documents sorted out /arranged but couldnt get the bank statements collected while in india.

So if I have someone on my behalf collect the statements in India (which I have called the bank and confirmed is possible)..and get sealed &signed..

Can the scanned version of it be used for submission?
The application procedures in UKBA site mentions that for electronic statements , a seal /sign from bank on top of it would be accepted.. But I am not sure if the a scanned document (with bank statement details , sign , seal) will be accepted

Nope, HO only considers original documents and scanned copy is not original.

Arrange to receive the originals because as one member has experienced, even attested photocopies are not valid.

I am arranging for original bank statements from India .. I should get it next week.. They are on original bank stationery.. so is it right that I need no stamp or seal on it?

Can I used the same bank statements I am using for proving "previous earnings" for proving "Maintenance Funds " as well? I have statements from Feb-10 to Feb -11.. Does seem like I can... but want to be sure..

As long as the most recent statement is no more than one calendar month before the day of application it is no problem. So make sure you dont use a statement that is more than a month old.
