P 46 form which option is correct

hi all,

I need your help.

I have been given P46 form by my new employer who will employ me from 7th March 2011. Now in this form i can see 3 options A,B,C. I am confused which one will be applicable to me. I will let you know my circumstances. I had a job which started on 12th of April 2010 and it continued till 4th March 2011 and this employer will give me 4 week pay in lieu of notice till 31st March and has allowed me to join new employer from 7th March in wake of redundancy.

Which option should i tick?

Not sure why you were given P46 by your new employer. IMO your previous employer should give you a P45 (as you have finished employment with them) and thats what you give to your new employer.
