Tier 1 visa within UK

Tier 1 visa within UK

Hello,

I am currently within UK on Tier 2 visa. I want to apply Tier1 visa for which I believe the end date (from within UK) is 5th April.

I entered UK on 16th of March 2011 on my Tier 2 work permit.

My Question is : Am I still eligible for Tier 1 ?

But I got the tier 2 visa in Feb 2011 and entered UK on March 16th. Is that still ok ?

If you can prove that you meet all requirements to obtain a Tier 1 visa before the 5th of April, you can apply. There is no time restriction on switching visa categories or even extension of existing visa.
