MN1 application form queries

MN1 guidance says last page (declaration) should be signed by parent. But whether both parents (Mum and Dad) need to sign it or just one parent sign it?

One parent - preferably Mum.

Who is making the application? The child or the parent(s) on the child's behalf? If the former, the child needs to sign.

It's joint application, i.e.children's MN1 with parents' AN submitted at same time. I guess only child age over 16 are to be considered as making their own application, others are not, am I right?

It is not called a joint application. You are applying together for your naturalisation and children's registration as British national. If the children are less than 16 years old the application can be done either one of the parents. Final signature can be from either one of the parents. Consent signatures have to be done by both parents. If not you need to explain why one of the parents is not signing as mentioned in the application and guide.
