ruthie wrote:Anyone got passport back yet? I've been waiting for 3 weeks and I heard most got it returned in 2 weeks time? Seems now it takes even longer than a normal extension application
dba_kkk, so have you managed to get a status update then?dba_kkk wrote:Hi All,
Still I haven't recieved until today morning
I have posted my passports on 25th feb
I tried to call the shaffield office and explain my case but the
call center people just need an application number to help???
I explained to them that my case is different and i dont have any application
Home office should have created a separate form for people like us
so that we can track
cheers
I would suggest you read dba_kkk thread above which explains all the documents to go with it. By the way I am also in the same boat as you are (exactly the same). Got visa in Nov and came to UK in Jan 2007 would need date correction for which I'll be applying soon presently waiting for passport renewals. By the way you are surely covered under the JR judgement. It doesn't matter whether you've got initial visa for 1 year or 2. My initial visa was for 1 year as well.wk_hsmp06 wrote:Thanks ruthie for a quick response.
Can you please let me know what reason you mentioned in your cover letter
for correction of dates? Do I need to send my bank statements / salary slips etc with the application and Do I need to fill any forms etc or just the doc mentioned above are okie.
Please do update once you get response from HO.
Thanks a lot for your help.
I've called them today, but they can't find the case using the tracking number. They have given me a post address instead for more information - Customer Contact Centre, UK Border Agency, PO Box 3468, Sheffield S3 8WA. Passport was sent via special deilvery and signed by C WHITELEY.rkc wrote:You can provide them the royal mail bar code reference of the package you sent to UKBA. That is acceptable when an application reference is not available. Of course, that only applies if you sent your passports by recorded/special delivery
dba_kkk wrote:Hi All,
I have at last managed to contact somebody in Sheffield office and explained my scenario
The lady on the phone was patient enough to listen to my query and she contacted the concerned department and confirmed that they have received my passports
She also sent an email confirming this on my request
cheers
