Tier 1 extension

HI

I am in Australia and will be returning to the UK in September. My tier 1 expires in October. I wanted to apply for my tier 1 extension on the first week of Sept when I arrive however, I won't have a job at the time of application. Will this cause any problems? Am I still allowed to apply?

It will not provided you can meet the points required for extension of your visa

do you have enough points for earnings (earnings in UK)? If yes, it is not a problem.

my salary for the past year has been entirely in Australian dollars. However, if I convert this to pounds, it should be about 35K pounds. I assume this will be ok?
