student extension

My friend came to UK in sept 2010 to do BSc(Hons)- Nursing course. The actual course length is 1 year, but she was given only 10 months visa till 3rd Aug 2011 according to the end date of the course given in the CAS letter i.e June 3rd 2011.

now here are some doubts we have related to our student visa,
. Has UKBA stop giving the student visa extesnions?
. she is doing the 1year topup degree course. Is she eligible for applying PSW visa?
. we heard in the university that , UKBA is not giving extensions for students who got some backlogs?? is this true??
. By Aug 5th all the re-exams will be finished and only results will be in pending. So, will UKBA give her the extension just for her results???
. she got her graduation in november, so inthis point of view will UKBA give her the extension????

Please, help me!!!
