Switching from PSW dependant to PSW main applicant!

Post by Jyde0608 » Thu Mar 24, 2011 11:08 am

Hi there, can anyone help with advice if I can switch from my current status which is PSW dependant on my husband to the main applicant in February 2012? I would then have finished my university degree...afterwards would my husband be eligible to in return depend on me if I secure visa? All advices are welcomed..Thanks for you help...

Thanks for your contribution though I have gotten a confirmation by the Uk border agency that it is possible for dependant to get their own but can only be given once so my question has been answered from the best source.

You will have to leave the UK to do this however.

Best source, IMHO, is the immigration rules and not a "UKBA telephone support staff".

Anyhow, all the best.
