Tier 1 general CLAIMINIG CHILD BENEFITS

Post by sahil20174 » Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:07 pm

Hi

Iam on Tier 1 visa and my wife is on dependent we are about to have our first child due in April 2011.

NHS had told us that my wife will be getting a one off payment of £ 175 immediate after delivery

After the birth of the child nhs told us that we will be provided with the child benefit form what should i do

Shall we accept the £ 175 and can we fill the form for child benefit and sign for it. Being on Tier 1 general and claiminig child benefit will effect me while applying for ILR ?

Your Valuable advice and replies are highly appereciated.

Thank you

in that case as you have no recourse to public funds then you should not be claiming child benefit.
