Looks good, but one suggestion to you according to my personal experience.

Organise your documents according to the years, spread them evenly over 2 years and keep 2009 separate and 2010 separate. In my case i handed approximately 10 documents from 2009 and 11 from 2010 all joints from 4 different sources. but i kept all other with me as well.

Dont give case worker hundreds of documents, you might scare them. let them choose what they want from about 15-20 documents from 2 years and always keep back up with you if they demand for more.

another thing, just double check that child benefits should be on your wife's name and CTC, WTC should be claimed jointly

Hi ferrarilondon,

I have arranged it in date order and i have kept the 2009 documents seperate and 2010 and 2011 seperate.

Yes the child benefit comes under my wife's name and the CTC and WTC are claimed jointly.

would you like to suggest anything else in regards to my documents i have?

The case workers have a check list and they may ask you in this order

Complete and Signed latest SET ( M ) form

pictures of yourself and Spouse

Proof of work ( pay slips, bank statements etc )

Documents showing proof of living together for 2 years.

These cases are straightforward as long as you have all above you should be ok , and do not worry i was so worried before but my case went so smoothly baout 2 weeks ago that i could not believe. Good luck

Hi Guys,
I have been Granted the ILR on the 1st April, everything went smooth no questions asked.

@ Shimlee143: no it wont be a problem, I would not worry about it, just add them to your file. and make sure all the documents are in order as mentioned above.

no need for photocopies of all the documents its only if you want to carry all that extra weight with you.
just keep a few extra documents you think could help as providing if any question arise.

Congratulations on ILR, told you it will be a smooth ride.

Shimlee I hope you applied for WTC as a joint couple as according to the rules couple should apply jointly, claiming WTC jointly is OK. good luck

1. Apply for naturalisation as and when you become eligible for it.
2. Upon receiving the certificate of naturalisation, apply for British passport.

For any further queries on naturalisation / British passport, post in this forum.
