Timing of Life in UK Test

Hi all
My ILR application is due next June (2012). Can somebody tell me that how early can I take Life in UK test and is there any validaty period of the test?
Can I take the test now :?: :?: :?: :?:

1. U can take the test anytime u want as it does not expire.

Just make sure you don't lose the pass certificate...they won't issue another and you would have to take the test again. :(

My husband is due to apply for BC in Sept. '12 and as I will attain PR in Nov. '12 I may be able to apply as soon as he naturalises.

Is it still the case that the test can be taken any time? We want to get it out of the way asap!
