late appoinment for biometric and work visa expiring

Post by BEENAEEM » Mon Apr 04, 2011 1:54 pm

applied for visa on 21st fen fee was cut and got letter for biometric residence permit appointment. when opened ukba to get appointment nearets date is 3rd of may which i think so quite far. it shows they will keep passports for another 1.5 month. although time they had mentioned for issuing tier 1 is 4-6 weeks but my calculation is saying it will take almost 2 months. isnt it rediculous? tehy dont have near date appointment in any centres. not can u tell me once ill go to record my biometric what will be next fewsteps and when will i get my passports back? although i ahve visit visa as well but my work visa expiring on 15th of may. how can i get my tier1 at earliest? would i still be abel to work after 15th may if i dont get passport. any way i cna ask them to make final decision at earliest so i can continue doing work?

If you submitted an in-time valid application, your current leave will continue even after its expiry (May 2011) - by virtue of Section 3C.

And, you can continue working (for your current employer, if your current leave is Tier 2).
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

yes right now im at tier 2 and submitted application for tier 1. tier 2 is expiring on 15th may and i submitted application on 21 feb thinking that there would be enough time to get final decision from ukba.section 3c shows i can continue to work, at least this is what i got after reading.
