further documents

Post by mskhan » Sun Apr 03, 2011 6:06 pm

Hi,

After sending applicaition for Tier-1, before the decision has been made we are allowed to send further documents.

Could anybody tell me what address should we send it to? The same address that we sent the Tier 1 application?

Cheers

Don't just send the papers, wait for the confirmation letter as it will include the reference number and then post whatever documents you have and quote the reference number, that will let them put your new documents in your file.

I'm a muppet I know - but 10 mins after coming back from the post office I realised that I haven't put my photos in. AHHH!!

What do I do now? Wait for reference number and then send it in? Will they have the onus to decide not to grant me a visa because of this small mistake? I assume not?

People have had their applications refused for not submitting recent photographs / photographs confirming to the specifications.

So, do not assume that you cannot be refused for "not including photographs".

Oh dear.

What do you think is advisable then -

Forget it, cancel my cheque and save my £850, or
call them and ask them what they can do for me, and send the photos?

If switching, then "cancel it and forget it" takes away your chance to apply again. In such case, follow your second option or DrFixit's suggestion above.

If extending and have valid leave thereby providing the opportunity to apply again in a few weeks / months time (depending on when your passport is returned), then it is your choice as to which of your 2 options you want to follow.

Thank you for your reply.

I was wondering if I need to send 'Change of circumstances' form for any new document that I will send afterwards.

Cheers

Thanks for being so helpful. I am switching.

I read somewhere else in this forum that if they cannot process payment, they have to contact me - is this the case or am I misguided?

Is it must that they contact you? Is it a legal requirement? - No.
Should they? - Ideally, yes.
Do they? - If you are a lucky applicant!

The process may change in the future, but that doesn't help you!
