My acknowledgement letter

Post by karthik_513 » Thu Apr 07, 2011 5:22 pm

HI all ...

I sent my tier 1 initial application on 30th march 2011, but still haven't received my acknowledgement letter.

Does it usually take longer than 7 days or should I have to ring the home office regarding the same?

I sent it by post and royalmail confirmed that it was delivered on 31st march 2011.

Please comment.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hello All Above,

I am in similar situation, where I posted my application on 31st of March, and it was received in Durham on 4th of April, but neither have I received acknoledgement letter nor has my account been debited.

Although I am worried, if I think on their part, I am sure they would have received a lot many applications as Tier-1 General was ending on 5th of April.

All I am doing and would suggest is that we keep calm and wait for at least 15 days or so from the date they received our application.

As far as it has been sent by registered post, we don't have to worry about our documents and well if things are in order sooner or later we'd get the visa as well.

All the best.

This means that your parcel was delivered to the address you posted it to, from their Durham office, as that is the last office from which it would be despatched.

If you look at the proof of delivery, you'll get the time it was signed for. That is the time at which it was actually delivered to the Durhum Tier-1 General address, if that is where you sent it, they are going to deliver the application to the postal address you posted it to, no where else.

Hope this helps.
Regards

Looking at other threads, usually it takes around 7 days to receive the ack letter.
But I'm sure there's been a massive rush of applications in the last few days, so expect longer.

I wish I did a PEO!

Bcoz of the rush of application, it will take longer than usual to recieve the acknowledgement letter. Not only this even biometric date will take longer.

BTW i send me documents on 4th April and still waiting for acknowledge letter.
