student to spouse!!! need advice please

hey there guys...just have a doubt. i know someone (ma mate) who is here in adelaide on student visa ..and soon he will be marrying a australian girl . they havent been livin together tho. now what will happen when ma mate applies for a spouse visa and she sponsors him??? will his student visa status be affected???? please let me know and thanks in advance

Your Friend will apply for a Partner Visa, will get a TR for 2 years, he can still continue studying as an international Student or he may wish to drop of, At times the immigration Dept. needs to see proof of relationship.
