Tier 1 extension-New rules after April 6

Post by kiri132 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 10:25 am

I am working full time as Engineer. Hence my salary is not enough for the extension I have been working part time as Sales assistant to cover up the salary points required.
My question is, whether home office is accept my part time income or not?
because which is not a highly skilled job.
Please advise and are there any new rules added about this matter after April 6th?
Thanks.

Thanks guys for your replies. However I would like to get further advise from any immigration consultants/senior members in this forum because 6 months ago Immigration minister Mr Green was talking about the Highly skilled migrants should do highly skilled jobs

(http://ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteconte ... illed-jobs)

Under the new rules,is there any specific law at the moment that restricts the highly skilled migrants to work in any other lower skill jobs?

Please clarify this

Thanks.

I do not think there is any measurement to judge which is highly skilled and which is low skilled. Every job requires high skill on that particular field. To me, sales consultant is one of the hardest jobs in the world which requires skills to convince people to buy something, any way that is a different argument.

The only measurement home office can enforce is "work in same field as your education". But that is not the case yet. So do not worry as long as you earn money and pay tax, everything is cool!!
