PSW Dependent Maintanance Funds

Hello,

I'm planning to apply for Tier-1 PSW from India and wish to process dependent visa for my wife along with my application. As per policy guidance, I need to show least balanace of £2800+£1600=£4,400 in bank account as maintainance fund for 3 months.

I have only £3700 in my bank account, £2800 of which will account towards my application and £900 for my dependent. Can I show my wife's bank account statement for the balance £700 for dependent application? She has it in her account for more than 3 months.

can any1 tell me that how much funds i need to show for me and my 4 dependands while applying from UK? they say 1600 for family member, is it for just 1 member? if so then do i need to show 7,200 (800+1600x4) for me and 4 dependants?

if not 1600

and that is for each dependant

i came in uk on 25 sep 2009 and returned back on 17 sep 2010, i will come back in july 2011 to apply for psw, i am writing this to know the exact time of my stay in uk, do we count our stay on the basis of our entry or on the basis of visa dates?

£1600 for one dependant
£1600 for another dependant

total £6000 for 3 months


Now above person(terriblescream) says you need to show £533 for each dependants.

Can someone clear this doubt please in details that wether i'm right in calculation or not.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are applying from outside the UK you will have to show 2800 for yourself and 1600 for each dependent.

If you are applying from inside the UK you will need to show 800 for yourself. And if you want to sponsor dependents the amount of money you will need to show will depend on the duration of your stay. If you have lived in the UK for 12 months then 533 for each dependent. If you have not lived for 12 months then 1600 for each dependent

All funds to be in account for 90 consecutive days

Let me clarify this further;

In UK for less than 12 months:

Student 800
Each dependant 1600
Total for student & 2 dependants: 4000

In UK for more than 12 months:

Student 800
Each dependant 533
Total for student & 2 dependants: 1866

But I dont know the length of stay is considered on the basis of visa duration or actual stay.
