FT+WP+T1G When should I apply for the ILR?

Post by fansn » Fri Apr 15, 2011 4:44 pm

Hi, I'm a T1G holder and going to apply for ILR this year. I started job with fresh talent visa in 05/2006. My WP started on 14/10/2006 and expires on 13/10/2011 but my working visa was issued on 01/12/2011. I applied for T1G in 2008 and the visa expires on 17/12/2011.

I'm bit confused with the date on which I should apply for ILR. Does "5 years" start from 14/10/2006 or 01/12/2011? I'm sure I can apply for the ILR no later than 03/11/2011 but is there any chance to apply for it early?

Thanks for your help!

That date is yet to pass.

Anyhow, you cannot include your stay in UK under "fresh talent" category in the qualifying residential period for settlement.
