an urgent issue, please help.

Post by bruteforce » Sat Apr 16, 2011 1:36 pm

A person born in the UK in 1986 to non British parents, (parents were doing PHd back in 1986). The person along with parents went back to their country after completing their studies.

Now, are there any rules that allow the person(who is now married and lives in a Common Wealth country) to claim residency rights (either PR, Citizenship or any other type of settlement)? Original UK birth certificate & other papers are present.

It would highly be appreciated if someone refers to any rules or law regarding the issue.

Many many thanks.

Did a parent have ILR when the person was born?

How long did the person spend in the UK before departing?

No, the parents did not have the ILR at the time.

The person was 2 years old when they left the UK.

What is the person's current citizenship?

Unfortunately, I don't think that there are any special advantages due to birth in the UK in this case.

The person is from Pakistan.

Even I have tried to search any special provisions regarding this but couldn't find anything. Thanks very much for the time and valuable information. Sincerely appreciated.
