Family reunion or spouse visa or DL

My cousin South african came to Uk 2001 with Working holiday visa for 2 years and after 2 years applied student visa for 1 year after it expired and stayed in uk illegal till now.She has a partner whom they've been together since 2002 and have been staying together since 2004 and he has been granted Uk Assylum status 2008. So when he submitted his application he mention his ex-girlfriend NOW whom they have 2 kids before he comes to Uk from Africa and were traditionally married but no marriage certificate,AND they are no longer together.So this couple now want to find out if he can apply for family reunion or is ther is any other option they can sort out MY COUSIN status and ALSO HE WANTS TO bring his 2 kids to uk as AT THE MOMENT THEY stay with his sister.Please help
