Payment Processing Delay

Post by UK_high » Thu Jul 06, 2006 12:48 pm

I have applied for FLR (IED) and payment has still not been debited from debit card. Just came to know that there is delay in payment processing.

Anybody having any idea like how much is the delay ? My application was received by them on 28th June. When I can expect my payment to be debited.

As your application for an extension was delivered on 29th June, do you mean that your current visa expires on 19th July?

If you do mean that then do appreciate that Section 3C is there to help you. That is, if you have a valid visa and apply in-UK for an extension, and you apply for the new visa before the expiry of the old visa, then that old visa is "treated as continuing" until the application is dealt with, and should it be rejected then until the deadline for appealing against that rejection.

So if you applied prior to 29th June and your old visa expires on 19th July, there is no possibility of you suddenly becoming an overstayer at 12.01.am on 20th July. Simply that old visa is still legally valid until they deal with your application.

Alternatively, if you really did mean that your old visa expired on 19th June, well clearly you were already an overstayer prior to applying for a new visa.

same problem

Post by sdd7677 » Sat Jul 08, 2006 7:12 pm

Hi,

Same problem with me. As I was unaware of new form and new office I sent my application by special delivery service on 26th June and mail was redirected to new office. I had talk with workpermit office and they told me that they are still accepting old form.

Though my bank account still not charged with application fee and I have got answer from work permit team that they have switched over processing agency to siemen so there is severe delay(like london tubes!!) and asked me to be patient. My visa expires on 21st July. Though I have read in other forums as well as you can stay even after your visa expires if you have filed for FLR.

But still quite concern about the application ...what you guys says ???

Hi GolaUk,

Your card was charged yesterday which means you should get application confirmation in one or two days. Hopefully there are no delays in that too.

GolaUk

So have you received your payment processing number? My payment was also deducted on 8 july, but have not received any acknowledgement.

Any idea how much time does it takes after the payment has been deducted for the processing of Visa.

Hi folks

Today I received my Application Confirmation from HO. It says 70 % cases will be settled within 4-5 weeks and 90% after 8 weeks.
I never understand their percentage figures

Delay in payment processing

Post by geriatrix » Wed Jul 12, 2006 11:01 pm

http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... ment0.html

----
03 July 2006

We are experiencing some temporary delays in the processing for Leave to Remain and specific Work Permit work streams including Worker Registration Scheme and Highly Skilled Migrant Programme applications which may be inconveniencing some customers. As a consequence of these delays we have increased our processing capability to ensure that these delays are quickly overcome. The delays relate to a change in our payment processing contractor which we are confident will lead to a better service for all our customers in the near future. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused and are working hard to recover our service standards.

It seems HSMP team are back on track with the backlog. New payment processing started charging the CC within 1 week those who have applied.

Based on the CC charging timelines provided by the members it seems they are processing fast.

Out of country appl.
Received by Sheffield Office : July 04th
CC charged & Ref. no : July 13th

Anybody received any decision letters those who applied in june ? Thanks !!!
