Tier 1(General) Extension - Missing 12 Month Earnings

Post by rohiths » Wed Apr 20, 2011 10:17 am

Hi All,

I currently hold a Tier 1(General) visa that exipres on 19th March 2012. However, I am looking to extend my visa much earlier. The concern I have is - when I was in the middle of changing jobs, I was signed off from work for 10 weeks due to medical reasons. Because of this I don't have any earnings for 2 months (March and April 2011). I am starting work again in May 2011. If I continue work for the rest of the year, I will have enough earnings to qualify for Tier 1 extension with just 10 months of earnings. Is it a problem if I just I show 10 months earnings in a continuous period of 12 months during extension? or is it mandatory to show earnings for all 12 months (which is not possible in my case)?

Any response is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rohith

10 months earnings is fine if you can score sufficient points.
refer to guidance notes:

continuous or full-time employment during the
12 months being assessed.
84. An applicant may claim for a period of
earnings of less than 12 months if they have
