Query on ILR at PEO Offices

Post by Satya6915 » Thu Apr 21, 2011 8:18 pm

Dear Members,

I have a query regarding ILR application at Croydon office. I am currently on Tier 2 general migrant visa. I am eligible for ILR from 20th May 2011. So I would like to apply for ILR in person(including my wife's and my 2 weeks old son) at PEO Croydon office

My queries are:

1) Does my child is eligible for ILR if I am eligible?

2) Does he needs to be present at PEO office during application process? I would like to avoid his presence for obvious reasons.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,
-Satya

You don't need to obtain ILR for your son, as if he was born in the UK you can register him as a British citizen right after you get your own ILR, see here.

You don't need to take your son or wife.
once you got ILR you register your son as british Citizen.

Dear All,

Thank you all for replies. I am taking Indian Citizenship for my son. That's why I would like to apply ILR for him as well.

1. Yes.
2. No.
