You are correct, your days out of the country on business can be disregarded if the HO use discretion when you apply.AtifKhan007 wrote:Many thanks for you replies, i was under the impression that any Days spent outside the UK on business trip are exempt and if i can demonstrate that most of my state is in the UK i.e. the connection to the UK, it should be okay ?
ILR with an expiry? I thought it meant 'indefinite leave'inzi2k wrote:Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can answer me
I have received ILR after 10 years long residence. The date of issue of ILR is 01 Feb 2013 and expiry date if ILR is 01 July 2022, 10 years from the date when I applied for ILR.
Can anyone tell me what date I would become eligible to apply for citizenship.
Thanks
ILR in itself does not have any expiry, it's the biometric card that comes with a expiry. You just got to renew it after 10 years like you renew your passport, bank cards or driving licencevinitmanu wrote:ILR with an expiry? I thought it meant 'indefinite leave'inzi2k wrote:Hi all,

I agree and that is what confused me when OP specifically said that his ILR will expire on '01 July 2022'.Gagan1986 wrote:ILR in itself does not have any expiry, it's the biometric card that comes with a expiry.
