Dependent Visa to Tier-2

Post by York123 » Thu Apr 28, 2011 10:41 am

Hi Everyone,

I'm on dependent visa now & planning to shift to Tier-2 Visa.

I have seen in one document that the in country applicants will not be counted in the Tier-2 limit. Is it true?

Since I'm on Dependent visa inside the country, will I also dont come under the count?

Also please let me know how long will it take for Tier- 2 process for role not in stortage list.

Please advice me

One cannot switch from being a Tier 2 dependant to a main Tier 2 migrant (319C(h)). To undertake this change entry clearance is required from outside the UK.

Therefore, the Tier 2 limit applies and a "restricted" CoS needed.
