Stolen passport with ILR ... how to get back into UK ???

Hi I am currently abroad with my foreign passport which had our valid ILR's in , our bags were stolen with our passports in ....

we have applied for our South African passports , but whats the process of getting a visa / ILR to allow us to travel back into the UK ?

bearing in mind ( but probably no relevant ) Ive applied for naturalization on the 28th March 2011 so a decisions should be reached any day now....

do i have to re-apply of ILR ? or can i just apply a visitors visa once i get my new passport ....

basically all i am after here is the best place to find / call to get some answers ??

any assistance is REALLY appreciated

Can you ask at the British embassy / consulate where you are at the moment?

Also, do you have a copy of your ILR?

HI .. yes we have copies / Scans of our ILR's ..

consulates are closed today , but yes i am going to call them tomorrow morning first thing.

Good... I always keep scans of my passport and valid visas online when I travel abroad.
