Question about points needed on extension for Tier 1 holder

I am a bit confused about total points required for extension. I got my Tier 1 general after the new rules were established June/July 17th?? i think...At this time I needed to score 100 points to get the VISA which i did. In my understanding however I only need to score 95 points for extension because the rules only changed to require 100 points for initial application...is this correct, please help!!

When you got the visa is irrelevant. When you applied for it is, so please share that date (the date you applied for Tier 1 (General)).

I applied on the 8th August 2010 and received it on the 15th August postdated to 18 October 2010 but entered the UK on the 22 March 2011

You need 80 (attributes) + 10 (English) + 10 (maintenance) = 100 points for extension (paragraph 48 of the policy guidance). Table on page 11 of the guidance applies.
