Tracking application progress via INIS website

Does anyone know why the INIS wouldn't publish application progress on their site for people applying for LTR/WCATT/Naturalisation and other visas? I am not talking about just results of certain applications, I am more thinking about tracking progress.

Surely this would considerably reduce the amount of queries that they receive via post/telephone/email, as well as keep people in the loop as to what the current status of their applications are!

Excellent idea, but that's public services you are talking about efficiency, speed, accountability are not in the dictionary fat chance of that happening anytime soon in our beloved Ireland.
