T1 Dependent Waiting Time-more than 1 Month?

Post by nitint1 » Fri May 06, 2011 6:28 pm

Hi
My wife applied for her dependent visa on 4th April from Delhi VFS. There is no update yet on the site, it's been more than 4 weeks and 1 calendar month.

VFS folks don't know anything and give no updates.

Is it normal?

TIA
Nitin

If you browse this topic, you'll note that it is (not abnormal).

Every application is assessed on its own merits. And VFS doesn't decide on the applications so cannot be expected to give an update. As per UKBA customer service standards, a non-settlement visa application may take 12 weeks to decide.

Hi Nitin

Same in my case i applied for my wife's visa on 8th april and till date there is no update. VFS people say that the delay may be due to royal wedding, easter holidays etc etc. Let me know if u have any update.

Cheers...
