Work Permit entry clearance

Post by iskander » Fri Jul 14, 2006 8:15 am

I need some help understanding how to interpret the visa.
I got my workpermit and I got my visa accordingly, which is an entry clearance. On this entry clearance it states
VISA WORK PERMIT (and my work permit number)
and below:
"work (and any changes) must be authorised"
What does this mean? I thought that was the whole purpose of the work permit: to authorise you to work.
Am I authorized to take the employment in UK or not?
Thanks

Dont worry about it, thats the standard wording on all work permits.

It's stating that (a) you can only work within the terms of your work permit and (b) any changes to your work status need to be authorised by the Home Office.

Congrats, and welcome!
