I was expecting it to reach them the next day or the 6/5 at latest.
WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG?!
Just a note saying that the tracking website shows that it has been delivered today. Today is the 10/5/11. I left the country on 10/5/2006 (at 20:15 PM). Hopefully it will be okay?
I have spent the last 4 days in a state of constant stress. It was delivered eventually, but with NO time to spare - despite it being First Class.
Some advice - Always use Special Delivery, NEVER simply First Class Recorded. It's completely unpredictable.
This, on top of the Liverpool strike, has really changed my mind: Privatise Royal Mail NOW. And sack the lot.

Hi everybody!
I have applied through NCS on 17.03.2011. Like everybody who applied in 2nd or 3rd week of march I was hoping to hear form the HO very soon. I've just phoned them and my case has not been looked at yet :(
Once again they said it can take up to 6 months.

It looks like waiting times are getting longer and longer. Even I appled on 17th March via post. i havent called them recently but I suppose my aplication would also be in a queue. It'll be two months next wednesday since i applied.

You are okay... You were in the country on the 10th. If I remember correctly when counting away dates, don't include Departure and Arrival Dates as you were in the country on those Days.

I doubt very much if they will use this, I have had the silver special delivery envelope returned to me unused, twice before.

I applied for my naturalisation on 5 April 11 through NCS Chester along with my son's MN1 application. They deducted payment on 18/04/2011. I called them up on 24 April............was told that my application was waiting to be scanned on to their system. Today I called them up again...........same reply.
These guys are still in the hang-over of royal wedding. Hope they realise that some work has to be done as a part of their job.............very frustrating.
Weekend hangover on monday & tuesday........holiday mood on thur & Fri
Wednesday might be our lucky day if they decide to do something
These guys treat immigrants as dirt........
Congrats to those who got their approval :D :D
Best of luck for ferrarilondon and all those waiting. :) :) ...
cheers

Does anyone know if particular nationality (original country) applications get preference?

Thanks.

Post by poshandbecks1 » Tue May 10, 2011 9:57 pm

Hello Everyone,
I have 3 points on my licence for speeding, is it going to have a HUGE impact on my application? Thanks a lot.

Hi Ferrarilondon, for what reason you will need next day delivery return envelopes while applying via NCS. Was it just one return envelope you added to your application and was you address on there?

thanks

I had three points on my licence too. As long as you were given fixed penalty notice on the spot and have only been fined once in last 12 months you are okay. If however you were fined and given points in the court you may face some problems.
