~~~~~ application was for son born in uk b4 parent acquired IRL. we did intend to use NCS originally but the nearest office to our home is more than 50miles away, so we decided not to use them(saved us £50)
all documents including my passport received back today, but i m suprised they only sent it via 2nd class post(non-recorded).
yeah, if these important documents(ie:passport) got lost in the post. i doubt they will take up the responsibility. they will probably blame the royal mail or send you a letter of apology for the most.babida2011 wrote:9588 wrote:NCS/Postal: Postal
You are lucky because you received your passports back. They are many stories there of important documents lost even when sent by recorded delivery let alone by 2nd class mail.
I would have travelled and paid for NCS services as losing your passports may prove to be a nightmare. In addition, processing time may take up to 6 months.
Any advise please...............................................dood wrote:Hi all,
I got ILR after my baby was born, and I applied MN1 for my baby 5 months ago through NCS. I received the acknowledgment letter and I am still waiting for the Registration Certificate. I phoned the HO and they told me you have to wait cuz the average is 6 months and maybe even more.
some friends suggest to me: it would be better to withdrew the application and then apply through a lawyer.
so please can someone advice and will be very much appreciate it.
Thanks.
The fastest could be to get passport (or travel document) for your daughter from your old country (call consulate and ask) - if you need to travel to your old country then temporary passports are issued very quickly (at least in EU).palbirmingham wrote:I would appreciate your advise on the fastest route to get (...) the passport
Home Office received my kids application on 9th but they have not deducted the fee so far, no acknowledgement letter either.
We got SET(O) on 31st March and both of our sons were born before that. We have applied under section 1(3).
Any idea what could be going on? A rush of application just before 6th Apr fee raise may be?
Any thoughts or experiences?
high_aimer wrote:Finally the payment has left my account yesterday, but no acknowledgement letter yet.
Tried calling them and an automated voice advised me that they have a backlog of application due to a lot of people applying just before the fee rise on 6th of April.
@helpneeded2011. I didn't include my sons in my ILR application and have applied for their Citizenship directly under section 1(3).
What supporting documents did you submit with the application (photocopy or original)?saurya_s wrote:You can and in the form your wife will have to sign that she agrees with you application for your child. I also got my ILR on 10 year and have applied for my son. Will let you know the outcome.himansuk wrote:Hi
Date Payment deducted on Credit card: 15/04/2011
Acknowledgement Letter Rec'd: 21/04/2011 ( dated 15/04/2011)
Date of approval: 12 May 2011- (Rec'd on 14/05/2011)
A Letter was attached from ND stating that my son's application has been sucessful and a registeration certificate of british citizenship has been posted seprately.
Documents attached
1-Son Birth certificate
2-Son Passport
3-Father passport with ILR
My son was born in the UK before i recieved ILR on long residency basis. So Section 1(3) of British Nationality Act 1981 applies.
IT basically took ND exact 5 weeks to process this application.
Good luck to everyone else
Next stop is my son's british passport!!!
