self employment with settlement visa

can my wife become self employed if she is on a settlement visa?

secondly she will be working more hours than me im working 15 hour part time and she will be working about 30 hours will this be a probem in regards to our working tax because she is working more hours than me and we are claiming working tax when it comes to her ILR
