hi rooney i sent you a Private message.

UKBA have taken the money from my account today, so i guess it will be a few more days before i recieve a letter.

My application was received on 3 may, still no payment taken yet.
Any news from u rooney! Or any1 else in the same situation

you need to give them another week. its only been days since they recieved it. my payment took 1 and half week, and as the letter is sent 2nd class it will be early next week before i get the letter. as a rough guide it may be a week later than mine or roony's

i posted my ILR on 27th April and awaiting confirmation. Looks like only now they are starting to take payments for the applications went around this date

Hi

I posted my ILR application under the 10 yr rule, I have been here for 12 yrs now, but my previous student visa expired 2 months before my 10 yrs was up reapplied and got my student visa for 2 years.

I first came to to the uk in july 1999 and in 2003 I lost my passport and had to apply for a new one but South African passports take up to 6 months to get, so I was in the country while waiting but without a visa and a passport, got my new one and went home for a visit and applied for a student visa again and had done so ever since then.
so I had a 6 months gap in my 12 yrs

I mailed my application on 30/04/11 so they received it on 4/05/11
no ack letter yet
no payment taken either

papers sent
life in the uk tests
2 passports
2 photos
application form
character ref letters form the church where i volunteer and do charity work
along with a cover letter done by a lawyer friend of mine

anyone that applied around the same time?
have your payment gone through yet?

Just checked my bank acc and the payment was taken today!!!!
feel so much better now that I know they have it, was wondering if it got lost in the mail.

there seems to quite a few of us who have posted applications around the same day. it would be quite interesting in my opinion looking at the turn around times for each of us.

iv always wondered, do the applications get put in a queue, or just land randomly on a pile and picked up randomly.
