Tier-1 dependent: query about Accommodation evidence.

Post by arlikattiananth » Mon May 16, 2011 11:41 am

Hi,

I am applying for Tier-1 dependent visa for my wife and kid who are in India currently.

About Me:
I am in UK for past 3 months only and working for a company.
I have rented an apartment with another person. Both of our names are in the tenancy agreement. The landlord has no objection to allow my family (wife and kid) to stay in the same flat.
The other tenant with whom i am sharing the flat also does not have any objection.
The utility bill (electricity) is on my name and just received the first bill

My question:

In terms of the accommodation evidence, are the following documents enough?
1. Tenancy agreement (both my and my flat-mate's name is present)
2. Utility Bill (only my name is present)
3. NOC from landlord
4. NOC from my flat-mate

Proof of accomodation is not a mandatory requirement.

Hello Anath,

It looks okay and as told it is not mandatory document. When you submit make sure - the property is not getting overcrowded as defined in the Housing Act, 1985.

See the link

Section 6 and 6.3 ACCOMMODATION will be to your interest.

Wish you good luck.

Regards,
Aani
