EEA FAMILY DIVORCE AND RIGHT OF RETENTION

Post by shafiq22 » Wed May 18, 2011 8:05 pm

Dear friends,

I am a non EEA family member married my wife in August 2008. I moved to UK in june 2009 and since then have been living here. My wife treats me here so badly and is always abusive. We have been working since I come to UK and now I see she doesn't want to have me in her life and wants me to divorce her. If I divorce, can I stay in UK? We are both working part-time and I wonder if after I divorce her, I can stay in UK. Can somebody share his help or experience if faced with me here? What I do because I have no family, no relative just alone. Please help.

Thanks,
Shafiq
