Travel to UK after receiving EC

Dear all,
I have got HSMP approval.
Within how many days I will have to go to UK after getting Entry Clearance Visa ?

That should be clear from the documentation you have received. It used to be three months allowed to apply for the EC .... now I think you should find that it is six months.

My question is "AFTER RECEVING EC", within how many days I have to travel to UK? Is there any restriction for time period for this?

Hi vijayb,

As I guess your HSMP is for 2 year so you can travel when you want during this time. For example you can enter to UK in 1 year and 10 month.

Have you received you EC already?

Vijay,

You need to plan your EC as per your travel..Even i got my HSMP last week..
But dont go gor Stamping till u are about to fly, as you 'counter' starts ticking once your get EC stamped and as per rules, you shdn't spend more then 3 months outside UK once you get EC,else extension will be a problem..

That is the reason even i am postponing my EC...

ashishashah,

As I know if enter during first 6 month after receiving EC there should not be a problem.
Anyway the worst thing is that you can get only 1 or 2 year extention not 4 and should apply twice for extention.

One more quesstions:
If I have only $4000 in my account can I receive EC or I will be rejected?
