Immigration to Australia

Hi all!!

I'm a 32 year old US Permanent Resident (I have lived here since Jan 2003-till date).

I wish to immigrate to Australia.My brother is an Australian Citizen.The only obvious reason that I see is getting closer to the family in the long run.I have a yearning to be in Australia (heward good things about it ,US life seems way too fast for me).

I am an Indian National by birth.

I am working as a 3rd year full time teacher in US schools ,teaching high school Science and Math.I have worked 2003-04 as a substitute teacher also .

Also I have taught for good 5 years in Delhi,India.I was teaching High school students grades (9-12).

My Educational Qualifications
I hold my Bachelor in Science in area of Chemistry (hons).
I hold my Masters in Science in area of Chemistry (hons).
I hold my Bachelor in Education in area of Chemistry .

All with excellent grades and have equivalence of masters of US.

I would appreciate if
Is there really a way out for me?(I live in USA but I long to get closer to my family in Australia .

I could be walked through this whole process and scope of immigrating to Australia.

My brother being an Australian Citizen sponsor me in some way to fasten the procedurein some way.

I would appreciate all help !!

You should get your self assessed by NOOSR( www.deyta.gov.au/noosr )as a teacher. If your brother is in sydney he will be able to sponser you if you are designated as a Secondary School Teacher (2413-11). if your Brother is anywhere else in Australia, he can sponser you 15 points with all designations.

Not sure if this site may help - it has some useful links in it under the section Immigration - I stumbled across it while looking for information for some friends in the UK. For some reason it doesn't appear on google yet, but I found it a good introduction.
