Start Date for days out calculation

Post by toufik7 » Mon May 23, 2011 12:58 am

Hi All,

I left the UK on 06-Aug-2007 to switch to HSMP (an in-country switch was not allowed).
the HSMP entry clearance was granted on 09-Aug-2007 however I didn't arrive back in england until 21-Aug-2007.

Which of the 3 above dates should I take as the start date for all absences with regards to the ILR application?

Thanks and Rgds,
T

As your ILR clock starts from 21 Aut 2007, that is the day from which your absences will be considered.

The form just says mention the date you left UK , its dsnt say in last 5 years or something.

YES

The form says to list your absence after your eligible start date.

You can ignore them if you are away only in the weekend, but that will depend on the caseworker to interpreat. You will certainly need them to mention in the form. You need to satisfy the 180 days limit.
