AEO After A Simplified Application File Number

HI,
I filed my PR application under the simplified application process in 2006 from New Delhi. I havent heard from CIC this far.
Now if I have an AEO, can I submit the AEO under the same simplified process file number, or do I have to make a fresh application?
What are the time frames in these 2 cases? Does anyone know?
