And if you want, 5 years after your arrival date, 7 nov 2009, you can apply for a permanent residence card.

It is a form EU1. There should be a list of documents to provide.

You could state which problem it is you are concerned about.

You should receive 6 months permission to remain within 2-3 weeks of applying presuming you have provided the correct documents. After this 6 months is when they give you an actual decision so this 6 months permission will cover you until the end of the year.

Make sure that when you return to Ireland that you either travel with your EU Spouse or you be able to produce confirmation that you are joining your spouse as well as your GNIB EU FAM Card.

Think broadly: what evidence do you have that you are living in Ireland? Do you have a credit card? A bank account? Has your landlord ever met you? Do you have friends in Ireland? Do you ever receive any mail? A library card? A health card? Do you work?

Each of these is, or can easily be turned into, evidence that you are in Ireland.

What evidence did you submit with your application?

I realise that you're not from Ireland so you wouldn't necessarily know everything about Irish landlord and Tenant law but you would be well advised to familiarise yourself with the basics so that you can prevent yourself being taken advantage of by unscrupulous landlords. Apply to register your tenancy with the PRTB which can be found at

www.prtb.ie

When registered, send that to the INIS. Realistically, your landlord should have already registered your tenancy with the PRTB so I would check with your landlord first.
