Visa Stamping for Newborn

Post by legendlu » Thu Jun 02, 2011 3:33 pm

Hi,
Can any one please clarify this doubt. I have a Tier I visa and I am eligible for ILR by November 15th. We have a newborn baby ( Born mid of March). I am planning to get the passport for the baby this month. Should I spend money to get the Tier 1 dependent visa stamped on his passport or wait till November to get the ILR directly. We are not travelling anywhere outside UK this year.
Thanks
Venky

If the child is born in the UK and not intending to travel before either parent is granted settlement, then no need to apply for passport and leave to remain.

See also UK born child do not require ILR - please confirm?
