You do not need to send your passport, just send photocopy of passport page containing Tier 1 visa and first pages with your particulars.yallow wrote:Hi,
I am now submitting an application for a Tier 1 dependapnt visa for my newborn child (born in UK).
My question is do I need to send my own passport with the application? They never asked for passport number in the application form. And I am worried they will loose it somewhere on the way.
Thanks!
Seems okay to me, good luck!!yallow wrote:Thanks, mvent00,
Just to confirm I am doing everything correctly now -
I am here on Tier 1 General.
My wife is on Tier 1 General dependant.
We both are here since 2007.
We have a baby boy born in April 2011 here in London.
The only complication to our case is change of spelling of our last name.
So we both have expired passports with visas and old spelling (Joe and Jane Bloggs, for example) and new passports without visas and with new spelling (Joe and Jane Blogs).
My wife holds our savings account (not a joint account) with Natwest, so in our application we need to show that she is legally in the UK.
We don't have fingerprints, biometrics, ID cards or whatever - just visa stamped to our old passports and both those passports have now expired.
So here is a list of documents I am sending to HO by post-
My son (new dependant) -
- His passport (Andy Blogs)
His birth certificate (Andy Blogs, parents - Joe and Jane Blogs)
This application form - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... ation1.pdf
Myself (main applicant) -My wife (existing dependant) -
- Photocopy of police certificate confirming change in spelling
Photocopy of home office letter stating that my Tier 1 General application was successful.
Photocopy of expired passport with old spelling (Bloggs)
Photocopy of new passport with new spelling (Blogs)
Photocopy of a valid Tier 1 General visa from the old passport. Please let me know if I missed anything. I am very worried I will waste 550£ if I did.
- Photocopy of police certificate confirming change in spellin
Photocopy of home office letter stating that her dependant application was successful.
Photocopy of expired passport with old spelling (Bloggs)
Photocopy of new passport with new spelling (Blogs)
Photocopy of a valid Tier 1 General dependant visa from her old passport.
Bank statement with maintenance funds on her name (Jane Blogs).
Many many many thanks for reading and replying!!!
Can someone please respond ????vinnydpu wrote:I wish to APPLY for a UK TIER 1 dependent visa for my son DOB: 03-Mar-2011.
My wife and I both have TIER 1 visa valid until Aug 2012.
Application center: Pune.
(I am due to fly in 1st week of July to London).
I wish to know what documents would be required for the above process. I know of the below documents, let me know if I am missing anything here:
1. Child Passport.
2. Child Birth Certificate.
3. UK Visa Photos.
4. Father & Mother Visa and Passport photocopy.
5. Maintenance Fund - GBP 800 Or GBP 1600 ?? for last 90 days in UK bank or Indian Bank (Equivalent in INR) ??
PS: Can I show funds in UK bank account when applying from India?
6. VAF 10 form duly filled.
Let me know if I am missing any info here.
Also what would the fees be for the application of the TIER 1 Dependent visa in India?
Appreciate quick response on the same & thanks in advance.
