Dependant Visa

Post by viper_555 » Mon Jun 06, 2011 9:25 am

Hello,

I'm applying dependant visa for my wife, who's in India at the moment. I've provided the savings bank statements to show the maintenance fund required. My salary is credited to my current account and I move money from Current to Savings. The agent through which my wife is appying has insisted that I need to provide my current statements as well to prove my salary being paid in. Is this madatory? Do you think there'll be a rejection based on that?
Please advise. Many thanks for your help.

Cheers

as long as your saving account shows the required balance for last 3 months in the savings account, you are fine. I would also include some payslips and a reference letter from the employer just to clear the doubt. showing your current bank account statement isn't mandatory but would help so if you can include it then why not but clearly state in the covering letter that you have a separate saving account for the maintenance requirements.

This is definitely not a requirement as there is no pre-requisite for the main applicant to even be working and earning a salary when applying for a dependent visa! I hope you are not paying the agent for his incorrect advice.
